SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Senior Supply Planner is responsible for: reviewing, analyzing and evaluating current and proposed systems, procedures, methods, policies and procedures and organizational structures; developing methods and procedures for accomplishing new or modified functions; preparing instructions, guides and advisories concerning supply management matters; performing statistical and cost analyses; proposing improved systems and methods; determining action required on new initiatives; and recommending courses of action; tracking and coordinating programs or projects during developmental and implementations stages, and planning, coordinating and tracking the efforts of Supply Planners assigned for various purposes.
Knowledge using Automated Supply System.
Capable of using Personal Computer with Microsoft office applications.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor degree in Business Administration/Accounting/Computer Science/Operation Research or a Retired Military specialized in supply.

A certificate of one year training course in Personal Computer using Microsoft office applications.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Ten (10) years experience in supply functions.
  • Review stock records data, calculates stock levels.
  • Directs and coordinates physical inventories.
  • Prepares reports.
  • Review, inspect and validates physical inventory reports.
  • Experience in receiving procedure.
  • Must have working knowledge of Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue       Procedures (MILSTRIP).
  • Have experience working with Logistics and Supply Automated       System.
  • Two (2) years experience using Personal Computer with Microsoft Office       Applications.

PHYSICAL AND/OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

Prior to occupancy of this billet, the incumbent must have passed a complete physical and dental examination.

The ability to read and understand manuals/documents and both written and oral direction provided by the supervisor.

Ability to read and write English at college fluency level is mandatory. Capable of typing documents.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises the personnel working under his supervision and coordinates with other division/section when required.

  • Participates in formulation and establishment of short-range, intermediate-range and long-term plans and operational procedures for the RSNF Supply System.

  • Formulates, prepares and reviews instructions, guides and advisories concerning supply management matters.

  • Plans, coordinates, directs and reviews the efforts of Supply Planners.

  • Reviews and evaluates current and proposed organizational structure, accounting systems, policies and procedures, ADP and other system designs, both from internal RSNF and external sources, and provides written analyses with recommendations to this supervisor.

  • Coordinates and tracks programs and projects during developmental and implementation stages and prepares progress reports and informational briefings

  • Reviews and analyzes periodic progress reports and statistical data representing the responsiveness and effectiveness of the RSNF Supply System, and provides analyses, comments and appropriate recommendations to his supervisor.

  • Prepares evaluations, recommendations and reports on budget and resource requirements, including personnel baseline, training, facilities and funds.

  • Establishes and implements reporting systems which will enable management to review performance of Activity operations and achievements. Performs other duties as assigned.

    The RSNF may designate this billet as a training billet. The incumbent will be required to impart his knowledge of position-related skills, duties and responsibilities in such manner as to permit assimilation on the part of the RSNF trainee.
