SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Supervisor Technical Information Center manages the SRF Technical Information Center. Supervises Technical Information Specialist, librarians and other technicians in the acquisition, storage, maintenance, and reproduction of technical and related data. The incumbent must be able to impart to RSNF designated personnel the unique characteristics of the position.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor of Arts or equivalent degree with completion of courses in Library Science.

EXPERIENCE:

Eight (8) yeas experience in Library Management in a major engineering, technical or industrial organization.

PHYSICAL AND/OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

Prior to occupancy of this billet, the candidate must have completed and passed a medical and dental examination. Must be able to work in severe environmental conditions. Must be able to work in severe environmental conditions. Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 50% -Supervises, coordinates and assigns the activities and functions of the data library for SRF repair and overhaul activities, Establishes procedures for acquisition, cataloging, sorting, issue, distribution and control of library material.
  
  
• 25% -Responsible for display, reproduction and changes to technical documentation, both manually and by machine (drafting, microfiche, blueprint machine, copying, typing, pen and ink changes, drawing changes, etc.).
  
  
• 15% -Provides research and source-funding services for technical data as required.
  
  
• Provides statistical data and status information for management as requested or established.
  
  
• 10% -To ensure quality and reliability of jobs done at the MTR.
  
  
• 10% -To prepare specialty qualification standard (SQS) for MTR functions and perform any other job related to MTR.
  
  
• 5% -To perform other duties as assigned by the SRF commander.

Performs other duties as assigned.
The RSNF may designate this billet as a training billet. The incumbent will be required to impart his knowledge of duties and responsibilities in such a manner as to permit assimilation on the part of the RSNF trainee.
